It's amazing how some skincare rules can revive your complexion and enhance your skin!
The skin is an impressive organ that has, I would say, "mood swings."
Sometimes we find her beautiful, and sometimes she plays tricks on us.
Between blemishes, dryness, or shine, we all have times when we don't quite understand our skin, right?
However, to obtain and maintain healthy skin, you simply need to follow certain steps!
So, here we go to show you 5 important rules for caring for your skin:
1. DOUBLE CLEANING
A two-step method that will only add a few minutes to your usual routine that requires cleansing your face twice with two different types of cleansers. First, we use a cleansing oil or balm that will dissolve and remove makeup, pollution and sebum that is on the surface of the skin. Then, we apply a water-based cleanser to remove the first cleanser so as not to clog the pores and then remove any remaining impurities on the skin, or any other substance that is still on our skin.
This is definitely the routine to adopt in the evening before going to bed. It's the perfect combo to allow all the active ingredients in your cleanser and your treatments to work.
2. STACK THE PRODUCTS IN THE CORRECT ORDER
Your beauty routine should resemble a construct in which each product must be placed in the correct order. For example, if you apply a moisturizer before an eye cream, the active ingredients in the cream will not be able to penetrate your skin properly due to the occlusive ingredients in the moisturizer, which create a barrier on your skin.
To get the method right, stick to a general rule of thumb which is to apply the lightest products before moving on to thicker formulas at the end of your routine.
I'll take this opportunity to give you some advice on how to follow a beauty routine that I think is the most effective (to follow depending on what you use):
. Cleaner
. Lotion
. Anti-blemish or pimple creams
. Serum
. Eye contour cream
. Moisturizing cream
. Oil
. Sunscreen (SPF depending on your skin type)
Make sure to give each product time to absorb into your skin before applying the next one.
3. KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE
Understanding your skin and your skin's requirements will allow you to find the right products that will work best for you.
Everyone's skin is unique, and while this may change over time, there are different categories of skin types. Whether your skin is sensitive, dry, oily, acne-prone or normal, always remember to use the right product, because a cream for dry skin will not improve the appearance of oily skin for example.
4. EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that clog pores, while improving skin cell turnover. Not only will regular exfoliation remove dead skin cells and the type of dirt and bacteria that contribute to breakouts, it will also help brighten (brighter) your complexion and allow the products you use to penetrate deeper.
The frequency of exfoliation should be adapted according to your skin type. I recommend that you do not do it more than once or twice a week depending on your skin type, and especially not more to avoid irritating the skin and disrupting its pH.
5. ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN
It is important to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure, to prevent skin aging, skin diseases, sunburn and dark spots.
Sunscreen should be adapted according to your skin type and the time of year.
